Jonathan Adams

Jonathan Adams holds a master's degree in instructional design from the University of Massachusetts, and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Boston University.

Dr. Adams began his career as an instructional designer in 1989. He previously owned and operated Pilot Media, a small business focused on software design and development. His expertise with the design and development of interactive computer-based instruction has been recognized with 17 professional awards for interactive media design as well as technical achievement for education and information software. He has spoken at numerous conferences, developed and delivered face-two-face training and online courseware for higher education. He currently serves as a board member for several start-up companies in the Tallahassee area.
 
Dr. Adams is an Associate Professor with the College of Communication and Information at The Florida State University. His teaching covers topics such as interactive media production, usability, search engine optimization and the management of digital media projects. He has authored more than 20 scholarly articles on topics related to distance education and online media. He is an active member of the TalTech Alliance, the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and is a certified Project Management Professional.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar or listening to music.
