Brien Sorne

BSorne web Brien SorneBrien is a native of Seattle and has been a resident of Tallahassee since 1978.  After completing graduate training at Florida State University in social psychology and family therapy, he established a private practice offering individual, marital and family counseling.  At the same time, he pursued a career in broadcast management, media production and sales with Plantation Radio, Inc. In 1991, he established Whole Family Ministries, Inc., a non-profit corporation that provided family life education, state-funded mentoring programs for fathers, counseling services and a weekly radio broadcast entitled “Family Alive” which aired on six radio stations across the southeastern United States.  In 1992, formed ALCOM Marketing & Advertising, Inc.

Today, ALCOM is comprised of nine divisions including The Launch Pad Group which specializes in web development, SEO, and conversion optimization.  The company services 300 clients locally and across the country by providing a variety of services, including comprehensive marketing management and consultation, internet marketing, audio/video production, ad design, and media buying.  ALCOM’s communications division offers the company’s branded telephone on-hold service called Kustomer Keeper and their most mobile SMS advertising solution, TextMarket.  The company recently formed a jingle production division and is in formation of a sales training program.

For his part, Brien has served thousands of businesses both large and small across many categories over the last 35 years providing TV and audio production, consultation, marketing research, sales training, and marketing plans.  He has taught sociology and social psychology classes at Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College, has served as an associate pastor at several churches, and has raised four children along with his wife Annette of 30 years.  He is the host of a weekly radio talk show called “Tallahassee Talks with Brien Sorne” and is currently writing a screenplay entitled “Natural Bridge.”  Professionally, his greatest reward is found in helping business owners achieve success by developing an integrated and balanced approach to advertising within a targeted marketing strategy.
